Potretzke, Paul age 88 of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021. Paul was born in Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High School. He served in the US Navy as a Lieutenant after graduating from the University of Minnesota. He met and married wife Mary Ann, they raised a family and were together for 65 years. He was a Minneapolis Public School teacher and guidance counselor as well as Minneapolis Community and Technical College career counselor for over 35 years. A lifelong walker and bicyclist, he also was a nature lover and enjoyed photography, gardening and traveling the world. He loved the water, enjoyed the family cabin which he helped build, and he fished and sailed. Known for his quiet and neighborly manner, he volunteered in many organizations. He is preceded in death by beloved wife Mary Ann, son Keith, and grandson Jeff Sass. Survived and loved by daughters Karen (Jim) Pond, Kathy (Bob) Sass, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, family and friends. Special thank you to Masonic Home staff and Brighton Hospice.
