Lang, Richard Duane age 82, of Ham Lake, MN passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. Richard was born August 27, 1939. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Stanelia Lang and daughter Terry Huberty. His legacy will live on thru his loving wife Mary of 49 years; his sister Jeanne Kokx (Victor) and his brother Edward; children Rick (Kim), Deanne, and Eddie; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dick proudly served his country in the Marine Corps from 1957-1960. Dick graduated from Anoka High School and St. Cloud State where he started on the Defensive Line for the football team. Dick majored in Political Science which later led to five terms as Anoka County Commissioner starting in 1980. There was a mutual admiration and respect between Dick and his constituents whom he always had time for. Dick was strong in his faith and he and Mary were long term parishioners of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Ham Lake. Coaching youth football and baseball was a passion of his for many years. Join us to celebrate Richard's life on December 13, 2021 from 11:00am - 3:00pm at Gearhart Funeral Home (11275 Foley Blvd. NW., Coon Rapids).
