Gladys Mary (Wencel) Erkel

Erkel, Gladys Mary (Wencel) died on October 28, 2021 at the Franciscian Health Center, Duluth, MN. She was born on January 6, 1924 to Henry and Beryl (Schuckhart) Wencel in Graceville, MN. She married Clifford Erkel on December 31, 1955. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff; a stepson, Philip Erkel; brothers, George and Virgil Wencel; sisters, Goldia Pula, Jean Hanson, Delores Kegley, and Carol Hand. She is survived by a stepson, Gordon Erkel, St. Paul; sister, Betty Simmerman of Hibbing, MN; sister-in-law, Delores Hogen, Springfield, MN and many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Monday, December 13th at Atonement Lutheran Church, 601 E. 98th St., Bloomington, MN at 12 p.m.
