Olson, Mary Jane H. age 93 of Crosby died on October 19, 2021 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on January 4, 1928 in Iona, Minnesota to William and Odelia (Miller) Hermeling. Mary Jane married Donald Gordon Olson on September 17, 1949. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Mary Jane is survived by one son, Allan (Mary Ellen) Olson of Maple Grove; two daughters, Peggy (Nory) Hunze of Crosby and Jane (Bob) Riley of Pillager; two brothers, Bill (Shirley) Hermeling of Minnetonka and Larry Hermeling of Fulda; one sister, Donna Kremer of Fulda; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Preceding Mary Jane in death are her parents; her husband of 60 years, Donald; two brother, Joe and Jerome Hermeling; and six sisters, Fidelis Hoffman, Alice Fehring, May Johnson, Ivona Risacher, Lola Voss and Betty Haar. A Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lakeville. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis in the Spring. A visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Mary Jane's service will be live streamed. Masks are being required at the service.
