Melles, Warren H. Warren Henry Melles passed away on November 20th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 86 and will be dearly missed. Warren was born and died in Minneapolis. He was a standout baseball and basketball player in Paulina, Iowa where he met and married his high school sweetheart Jan Eschenbacher in 1954. Warren earned a degree in education from the University of Northern Iowa and was a passionate high school teacher and coach before embarking on a successful career as an agri-business and banking executive. A true people person, Warren had a passion for engaging with friends and people he met throughout his career and personal life. He was always willing to assist and encourage those in need and was tremendously supportive of his family. Warren was active in his church and an avid golfer, biker, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Warren is survived by his wife, Jan Melles, and children, Mark Melles (Theresa), Mike Melles (Kate), and Mary Hadler. He was predeceased by his daughter Mindy Klauer (Richard Klauer) and granddaughter Patrica Melles. The funeral service will be held at Golden Valley Lutheran Church, 5501 Glenwood Ave, Golden Valley, MN on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 1 pm. Service attendees are welcome to join a reception following the service.
