Kleppe, Sona Lea Sona Lea Kleppe of Medina passed away peacefully on November 16. She was born in Benson, MN on October 22, 1940, and lived a life of faith, gratitude and love that centered around her family and friends. After graduating from Richfield High School, Sona married Tom Kleppe in 1960. They lived in many places but called West St. Paul, where their children Jody, Kris and Matt grew up, home. Sona had a successful career in the banking and mortgage business. She loved to travel, was involved in a variety of activities and had many hobbies. Above all, she loved being a grandmother. Sona was a connector of people who lived a selfless life of caring for others, while using her skills to create memories for her family. Sona was preceded in death by her father, Carl Draisey, mother Annetta Low, stepfather Norbert Low, husband Tom Kleppe, and sister Sandi Draisey. She is survived by brother Darwin (Danita) Draisey, step-brother Jim Low, her children Jody (Blair) Horner, Kris (Darrell) Olson, Matt (Sue) Kleppe, grandchildren Anna (Matt) O'Reilly, Sam Horner, Erik (Victoria) Olson, Peder Olson, Jason Kleppe, Corinne Kleppe; great-grandchild, Charlotte O'Reilly.
