Tauer, Catherine (Jacobsen) (nee Burket) Kitty – Kate – Auntie, age 98, of Roseville. Born on November 25, 1922 to William & Mary Burket. Passed away on November 8, 2021 in Little Canada. Preceded in death by husbands, Raymond Tauer and Staff Sgt. Gerald L. Jacobsen who was missing in action since 1944, 73 years after the receipt of the last letter from Jerry dated 7/12/1944 where he says “I will be home soon,” Jerry was identified and buried with full military honors and laid to rest at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery on July 14, 2017. Also preceded in death by parents, William & Mary Burket; siblings, Amelia (Ray) Eagan, Florence (August) Otto, John (Irene) Burket, Leonard (Caroline) Burket, Clarence (Mary) Burket, Eleanor (Joseph) Garceau, Bill (Louise) Burket, Reta (John) Andert. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and her special bowling friends. She bowled for more than 50 years at the Stahl House and St. Bernards and was seen many times on Bowlarama winning lots of prizes. Catherine loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Member of VFW 7555 Auxiliary. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, November 16 at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 380 E. Little Canada Rd., Little Canada. Visitation at the church from 9:30-11 AM Tuesday. Interment St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery in Lino Lakes.
