Vague, LeRoy G. passed away on Oct. 27, 2021 surrounded by his family. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, LeRoy enjoyed 83 years full of music, laughter, and love. Born on Jan. 10, 1938 in Brooks, MN, LeRoy spent his adolescence in Hibbing, MN before moving to Cottage Grove, MN to work a 40-year career at MNDOT. LeRoy was a lifelong musician, singer, and songwriter and half of what the Hibbing Daily Tribune deemed the "Sweethearts of Song" along with his wife of 60 years, Sharon (Margo) Vague. He shared his musical talents as the music director at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for 22 years. A man of many talents, LeRoy was an accomplished curler, marathoner and served both active and reserve duty in the U.S. Army. LeRoy is survived by his wife, Sharon (Margo) Vague; children, Lisa Vague (Boyd Barrott), Lee (Nancy) Vague, and Stephanie (Guillaume) Mounier; grandchildren: Malory (Chris) Van Guilder, Grant Vague, Lucien Mounier, and Rose Mounier; and sister, Grace Lineham. He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Anna Vague; four brothers; and four sisters. A celebration of life will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (4537 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419) on November 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. Masks will be required.
