Etnier, Harold "Ace" Eugene Age 96 of Anoka, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021. He was born in Manheim, Pennsylvania, on August 15, 1925. After graduating from high school, he joined the Army and was sent to Japan in July of 1945. In November of 1945, Dad re-enlisted with the Air Force and continued his military career until October of 1964. During his time in the military, Dad was stationed in many places around the world. He met the love of his life, Betty Savage, in Alaska. They would marry on April 19, 1952, in Duluth, Minnesota. After his military retirement, they moved to Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where he started a career with Sears and Roebuck selling washers and dryers. A few years later, he was promoted to Installation Manager for the Twin Cities area. He developed a love for music at a very early age, learning how to play the trumpet and trombone by the time he was in high school. No matter where he was living, he would always connect with other musicians in the area; playing band jobs on the weekends. He was proud to be a member of the Twin Cities Musicians Union. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Etnier; daughter-in-law, Lisa Etnier, and son-in-law, Blake Enockson. He is survived by his children Donna Lewis; Deryn (Rick) Christensen; Marty (Dori) Etnier; Denise Enockson; Mike (Theresa) Etnier, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Brooklyn Center. Burial will take place directly after Mass at Mound Cemetery, Brooklyn Center. A luncheon will be held after the burial.
