Knutson, Darryl Clifford Age 82, of Edina, passed away on March 27, 2021. Preceded in death by his parents, Darryl is survived by his wife Mary, children Ben (Lisa), Christian (Heather Hanson), Jacob Knutson, and Johanna (Hubbard) Stout; grandchildren JT, Nina, Tyler, Pierce Knutson, Sophie and John Stout. Darryl is also survived by Zach and Bailey Potter (Heather's children) and by his brother Tom (Nancy) Knutson. Darryl grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and it was always a part of him. He graduated from Edison High School, later earning a degree from the University of Minnesota. He was a United States Marine, a CPA and, for most of his life, a business owner. He stressed the importance of family and demonstrated this commitment to his parents, his wife, and his children, often "leading them to water" to help them realize the potential he saw in each one of them. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, gruff demeanor, tender heart and his passion for horse racing. A Celebration of Darryl's Life will be held at Canterbury Park on June 6, 2021 from 12 to 3 PM, tickets at Will Call. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the donor's choice are preferred.
