Brettschneider, Heinz Age 87 of Burnsville passed away peacefully on May 17th. Born in Milwaukee, WI. Preceded in death by his son Jeffrey; parents Ernst and Pauline; and siblings Lydia Pierson, Margaret Brettschneider and Bruno Brettschneider. Survived by wife Dianne; children Steven (Patty), Michael Brettschneider (Kay Hanson), Cindy (Jim) Loehr and Dan (Martha) Brettschneider; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; nieces and nephews. A graduate of Mpls. Southwest High School, Korean War Vet, homebuilder and hockey player, Heinz was a coach and mentor instrumental in developing Burnville's Youth Hockey in the 1960's-70's. First and foremost a great husband, father and grandpa, he will be deeply missed. Never one to miss a softball, soccer or hockey game, he was also a huge dog lover. Always well equipped with pockets full of dog treats for each pooch he greeted. Celebration of Life Wednesday, May 26 at 6:00 PM. Visitation 5:00-6:00 PM at Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer's Association or MN Valley Human Society.
