Tabor, Charles Everett passed away peacefully on May 8, 2021 at age 92. Chuck was born on April 24, 1929 in Marion, Kentucky to parents Clayton and Gladys Tabor. He was preceded in death by grandson Everett Rachko, his parents, and siblings Herbert, Doug, Joseph, Charlotte Ann, and Gerald. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Laure', five children: Clayt (Julie), Charla (Butch), Bill (Katy), Jim (Carolyn), and Mary Jane (Rob); 11 grandchildren: Anders, Zach, Ian, Mollie (Patrick), Kallie (Mike), Will (Nicole), Allie, Shannon, Isaac, Sophie, and Lia; 6 great-grandchildren: Kaylie Jo, Maddie, Marlee, Bodie, Chloe, and Blake, and sisters-in-law Virginia Jorgenson and Elizabeth Schram as well as many nieces and nephews. Chuck was a three sport athlete and was inducted into the Marion- Crittenden County Football Hall of Fame. He played professional baseball in the Cincinnati Reds system, served four years in the US Navy during the Korean War, and graduated from Murray State University where he was on the baseball team for four years. While stationed in San Diego, California during military service, Chuck met the love of his life, Laure'. They married in 1954 beginning a journey together of more than 66 years. After teaching in Sparta, Illinois for two years, Chuck, Laure', and their family moved to Crystal, MN and Chuck taught math for 30 years at Robbinsdale and Cooper Senior High Schools. He was a long time high school baseball coach and professional baseball scout for the Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, and Kansas City Royals and was inducted into the Minnesota Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. After retirement, Chuck founded and operated Minnesota Baseball Services for several years. Chuck lived a life of high integrity and was highly respected. He had a wonderful smile until the end, was good natured, calm, warm, loyal, humble, funny, a great storyteller, and he deeply loved his family. Chuck and Laure's love for one another was beautiful to behold. Profoundly loved by his family, he will be forever missed and always remembered. A private family ceremony will be held with interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred in Chuck's honor to the donor's choice.
