Bullard, Jim age 86, of New London, MN, died on April 29, 2021. Born July 2, 1934 in Waco, TX, Jim served in the Navy and graduated from Baylor University. He married B in 1960 and moved to Minnesota in 1963. The couple raised 3 children and celebrated 54 years of marriage, living in St. Cloud, Bemidji, Mankato, Blaine, and enjoying time at Green Lake in Spicer. Jim worked much of his career for the MN Department of Revenue. He volunteered with youth hockey for nearly 50 years-an irony for a Texan who never laced on a pair of skates-and Minnesota Hockey has named a scholarship in his honor. Jim's early hobbies included catching rattlesnakes; later in life he enjoyed birdwatching, hunting get-togethers, puttering at the Lake, and throwing dice at the coffee shop. Survived by children Lisa, Dan (Alexis), and Joel (Kris) Bullard, grandchildren Matt (Alli), Alex, Sam, Caitlin, and Laura, and beloved cat Blue. Preceded in death by wife B, parents Ray and Bea, and brother Ray, Jr. For memorial contributions, the family has designated Minnesota Hockey Scholarship Fund, Ducks Unlimited, or the Animal Humane Society (Golden Valley). A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Spicer. Public memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 13th with visitation one hour prior, all at: Washburn-McReavy.com Coon Rapids Chapel 763-767-1000 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd.
