Cherney, Arvilla Marie (Loffler) Age 85, died on December 13, 2020, in Minneapolis, MN, of congestive heart failure. Arvilla is survived for 32 days by her husband of 63 years, Eugene Kenneth Cherney, of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Joseph (Nanette) Loffler; sons, Steven (Debbie) Cherney, Douglas (Lisa) Cherney, and daughter, Martha (Noah) Dalton; and her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene Loffler and Louise (Eilers); and her brother, Gene Loffler. Arvilla was born on September 3, 1935 in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Buena Vista College in Iowa. She was quite the entertainer and had her own radio show when she was a child, called "Arvilla's Tiny Tot Record Shop," on the radio station where her father was a broadcaster. Arvilla was a great woman, wife, and a loving mother. She married Eugene Cherney in June 9, 1957, and the couple had four children together, including a daughter who died at birth. Arvilla was a devoted believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and she was deeply involved in her family and church for the majority of her life. She was devoted to her children and supporting them in their many activities. A funeral for both Arvilla and Gene is scheduled on April 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a reception to begin at 10:00 AM at River Valley Church - 14898 Energy Way, Apple Valley, MN 55124. Pastor Greg Youmans will officiate. All are welcome to attend Arvilla and Gene's celebration of life. The family would like to thank all who cared so much for Arvilla.
