Hoffman, Peter Jon Peter Jon Hoffman was a beloved son, brother, and father who died suddenly December 9th, 2020 at the age of 46. He was a generous, kind, loving soul and everybody who knew him loved him. He was the son of Jon & Sharon Hoffman of Edina, brother to Pamela Hoffman Martens of New Jersey, and father to Gus Hoffman of Edina. He also leaves behind his adored niece and nephew, Isabel and Jon and brother in law Mark all of New Jersey. Peter was born on September 5th, 1974. He graduated from Edina High School in 1993 and attended the University of Kansas where he was an active leader with the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was a member of the Edina Rotary and worked for Morgan Stanley for the past 20 years alongside his Dad. He welcomed his son Gus on March 10, 2006, who became the light and joy of his life. Peter was a devoted father who loved his son Gus and was extremely supportive of all of his endeavors. He had a passion for hockey and loved coaching his son's team several years ago. They enjoyed golfing and fishing together as well as traveling to New Jersey to spend time with Pete's sister and her family at the beach. Peter had a special bond with his mother. They both had the same sense of humor, loved to play jokes on each other and they were like two peas in a pod. He worked side by side with his father at Morgan Stanley. They shared a deep connection not only through work but also in their shared love of golf. They frequently played at Interlachen Country Club. A favorite golf trip was to Pebble Beach in celebration of Peter's 40th birthday. Peter has been making life-long friends his whole life. His friendships were unconditional and came with endless laughs, pure heart, lots of love and a special kind of intellect. His ability to have fun in any scenario and wrangle his friends into any adventure were a direct correlation to his magnetic personality. His legacy will live on through the endless stories, memories, and good times he shared with all. Kindly direct donations in Peter's name to Helping Paws, an organization that trains service dogs.
