Garrison, David L. also known as Dave, of Minneapolis born in 1956 and died on November 26, 2020. Preceded in death by his parents David L. and Elizabeth Garrison and his brother Jerry Garrison. Survived by his wife Christine J. Garrison, children Joshua P Garrison (Hannah), Noah D. Garrison (Stephanie), Nathan D. Garrison (Karen) and grandchildren he loved dearly, Natalie (8), Madelyn (7), Olivia (23 mo.), Michael (10) and Matthew (14). Also survived by his brother Charlie Garrison (Pat), Gene and Karen Stephens; sisters Sheila and Brenda Garrison; along with many other Garrison and Stephens relatives, along with many friends and people he touched with his teaching and mentoring. David was proud that he served is country in the Navy. David had no regrets and believed in living life to the fullest, he was a great listener and always had time to help someone out. He brought life and laughter to many of his students, co- workers, and anyone else he could engage with. David loved people! With his family he was known for his clowning around and acting like one of the kids, even in his last moments he made us laugh and the nurses thought he was a sweetheart. We will have a small ceremony to celebrate his life in the coming days, but with the pandemic provides logistical challenges regarding the number of people who can attend. Dave would want you to stay safe, healthy, happy, and read a good book in his honor. In lieu of flowers, cards or other wonderful gestures, we setup a GoFundMe in Dave's honor. He was a believer in the power of education. We chose College Possible as a charity of choice. If you would like to contribute, or know more then please follow this link: gofundme.com/f/…
