MacDonald, Michael John "Mac" Age 70 of Richfield, MN Mike passed away peacefully November 16, 2020 at his life-long Richfield home following a hard-fought battle with cancer, and after dishing out final quips and finishing the last of the chocolate chip cookies. Born in Minneapolis on July 14, 1950. Mike graduated from Richfield High School, attended Dunwoody Institute, and became a union printer and small business owner. Joining in 1970, he served in the Minnesota Army National Guard. An avid Wild, Twins and Vikings fan, he also enjoyed cross-country trips and the thrill of sky and scuba diving, motorcycling and boating. Group gatherings meant laughing at stories of his adventures and mishaps. Family poker nights always included games that only he knew, making up rules mid-hand and then winning the pot. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Stuart MacDonald. Mike is survived by his loving companion of 10 years, Judy Mason, and his unique and faithful dog Jackson. Also survived by brothers, Donald (Diane), Madison, Wisconsin and Stuart (Joanne), Saint Paul, Minnesota; nieces, Lisa MacDonald (Dave Willmore) and family, and Katie (Kevin) Douglas; nephews, Tom (Renee) MacDonald and family, and Eric (Ashela) MacDonald; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of special friends. A celebration of life (with Mike's self-designed "Wall of Shame") will be held at a future safe time. Memorials preferred to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Best Friends Animal Society.
