Hamilton, Faith Anne age 85 of St. Louis Park/ Bloomington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday Nov. 17, 2020 due to Covid and dementia complications at Meadow Woods facility, where she resided the past 4 years. Faith was born on December 23, 1934 in Beaver Dam, WI to Art and Florence Fischer. They moved to New Ulm, MN when she was 2. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1952 and shortly after married the love of her life, Guyen Eugene Hamilton. She followed him to both coasts while he served in the Navy during the Korean war. After his discharge they moved to Minneapolis for a short time, then settled in St. Louis Park, MN, where she raised five children and resided the area for the majority of her life- always connecting to others and forming groups -which developed into life-long, endearing relationships. Faith worked over 20 years at Thompson/Justus lumber until 1999. Aside from her family and friends, music and performing was her greatest joy. Her love of music started at an early age as she traveled from New Ulm to the Minneapolis McPhail school of music every weekend throughout high school. In 1957 she joined the choir at Holy Family church, eventually becoming "the Cecelia's" for over 35 years. In 1961, she joined Eliot-Aquila Mothersingers which transitioned into The Methodaires. The group donated annual concert proceeds to Methodist Frauenshuh Cancer Center. She was an accomplished soloist, one who sang for many weddings and funerals for the VFW ritual team. She spent 49 years singing, performing and directing. Faith was a social butterfly who formed lasting friendships throughout her life, with a beautiful smile and infectious laughter. She will be missed dearly by all whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Guyen Eugene, son Gregory Arthur along with numerous relatives. Survived by cherished sister, Loralyn (Norbert) Santoski, and brother, Mark Fischer. Much loved mother to Rochelle Hamilton of St. Paul, Brian (Sylvia) Hamilton of St. Louis Park, Loribeth Hamilton of Bozeman, MT, Jayme (Judi) Hamilton of Minnetonka. Treasured grandmother to Justin, Jeremy, Heather (Nick), Lauren, Kyle and Jacquelin. Super grandma to Evelyn Marie. Services will be held at St. Joan of Arc church at a future date.
