Nielsen, Arnold "Arnie" A. Age 78 of Tyler, MN, passed away on November 17, 2020. Arnie was a proud Marine who served in the Vietnam War. He was a life time member of the VFW. He loved to spend his time working in his shop on many projects for family and friends. He always had a good joke or a cold beer anytime someone visited. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by daughters, Jackie (Shawn) LaPointe & Kat Hennen; grandchildren, Ryan (Atali) Hennen, Nick (Jana) LaPointe, & Erin (Ronnie) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Michael, Riley, Weston, Casey & Kennedy; brothers and sisters, Betty Thooft, Robert (Carol) Nielsen, Richard (Eileen) Nielsen, Marie (Galen) Grant, Ronald (Joyce) Nielsen, & Larry (Debbie) Nielsen. He is preceded in death by parents, Jens & Anna Nielsen; brother-in-law Aime Thooft. A graveside service and a celebration of life gathering for Arnie will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with military honors when it is safe for friends and family to gather again.
