Constance Louise Bergmann
Bergmann, Constance Louise 88, lately residing at Norris Square, Cottage Grove, MN, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020. She was born to Francis T. (d.1984) and Ida Constance Neseth (d. 1994) in rural Olmsted County near Kasson, MN, on May 4, 1932, and baptized at South Zumbro Lutheran Church. She was welcomed into that family by her older brother, Jerold T. Neseth (d. 2011). Upon graduating High School in Kasson, she attended St. Olaf College and a business school in Minneapolis, where she joined the choir at Salem English Lutheran Church and met her future husband, Douglas Bergmann. Married in 1953, she and Doug welcomed Scott Douglas in 1954. Upon moving to Galesburg, Illinois, Connie and Doug joined Trinity Lutheran Church and subsequently welcomed Tracey Louise (born 1958) and Curtis Lee (born 1964) into the family. She enjoyed art and sewing, often combining these to create church banners, many of which are still being displayed. Connie and Doug became active members of the Galesburg community until Doug's retirement in the mid-1990s. Connie and Doug moved to Oak Park Heights, MN, to be near their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: the Scott and Agma Bergmann family, granddaughter, Genevieve (husband Chris Brau) and great grandchildren, Alexander and Victoria, granddaughter,, Angela (husband Tony Kassube) and great grandchildren Andrew and Jessica; the Tracey (d. 2010) and Steve Hill family, granddaughter, Kirsten (husband Ted Jacobson) and great-granddaughter, Eva, granddaughter, Siri (husband Ryan Holton); and the Curt and Susan Bergmann family, granddaughters, Rebecca and Elizabeth. Doug passed away in 2012. Connie is also survived by her nephews, Mark and Eric Neseth and their families and by many cousins and relatives in S MN, and Norway and friends remembered. Cremation was at Bradshaw Funeral Home, Stillwater, MN. We are postponing the interment at Acacia Park Cemetery Mendota Heights, MN, until next year.
