Shapiro, Annette age 91, of St. Louis Park, passed away peacefully at her assisted living home, with her immediate family with her, on October 26, 2020. Preceded in death by her loving husbands, Nathan Weiner and Lou Shapiro; her parents, Minnie and Aaron Rudoy; sister, Lois (Al) Levine; and brother, Irving (Rose) Rudoy. Survived by children, Abbie Weiner and Michael (Paula) Weiner; grandchildren, Eric and Greg Weiner; step- children, Howard (Essy) Shapiro, Carey (Danny) Simon; and great- nieces and great-nephews; many step-grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren; and nieces, Barbara Raport, Wendy Rudoy, Harolyn Rudoy; and nephew, Doug (Nam) Rudoy; and cousins, Sue and Michael Oreck. Annette was born on February 4, 1929 on the Minneapolis North Side, in the heart of the thriving Jewish community there, where she made many of her lifelong friends. Except for her adventure in her 50's when she moved to live and work in Washington D.C. for a few years (and be close to Abbie), she spent her entire life in Minnesota, with her family and many close friends and relatives nearby. She was a kind and generous person who loved to travel (especially her trip to Italy with Abbie for her 70th birthday), loved good food, good books and good conversations, but mostly she loved just spending time with those close to her. She was someone who always had a smile on her face and was genuinely happy to see everyone. Many thanks from her family to her caregivers at Comfort Residence Assisted Living, especially Sarah and Sharon.
