Tracy, Laraine Patricia (Giuliani) Laraine was born on August 25, 1923 and died on October 13, 2020 Laraine was an enthusia-stic educator for most of her career at Lincoln and Jefferson High School in Blooming-ton, Minne-sota. Having previously taught in Michigan and the Territory of Hawaii. She interrupted her teaching career temporarily in the late 1940's and early 1950's to work as a pioneer stewardess for Northwest Airlines, a job ideally suited to fulfil her travel desires for six years. After retirement from teaching in 1985, she expanded her horizons, traveling and writing. Her books included: From Farms to Fairways, a History of the Minnesota Valley Country Club, (1923-1991) and multiple memoirs for family and friends to enjoy. Laraine was a long-time member of The Bloomington Center for Arts and was a member of Board of Directors and served on its Literary Council. She was a member of MN Valley Country Club , AAUW and Bloomington Federated Women's Club. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 Years, Mike Tracy. Her Mother and Father Zella and Sisino Giuliani of Bessemer Michigan. Sister Dorothy (Milt) Jensen of Howard Lake, Gene (Marie) Guliani of Inver Grove Heights, Robert (Norma) Giuliani of Hoyt Lakes. Survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Michael Joseph & Kris of Minneapolis; Grandchildren Sarah Laraine Letich (Husband, Mike) and Michael James Tracy. Her Great Granddaughters Madeline and Emily, with whom she loved to play her 1940s Hawaiian Ukulele. Laraine was fiercely independent, courageous and fun loving. She will be missed greatly by all of those who loved her. She will live on in our hearts and stories. The family will hold a private Burial and celebration for Laraine due to COVID-19. She will be buried at Fort Snelling Cemetery where she will join her husband, Mike. In lieu of flowers, Memorials preferred to The Bloomington Theater and Art Center or The Church of the Nativity of Mary in Bloomington. Gill Brothers 952-888-7771 gillbrothers.com
