Manton, Olive Williamson Elftmann 85, earned her wings on Thursday, October 15, 2020. Olive was a bright light to everyone whose path she crossed. She always had a smile on her face and a gentle voice when she spoke. From Minnesota to Florida and back to Minnesota again, Olive loved to stay busy. She was proud of being the fastest typist in the "typing pool" for the Star Tribune for two years in a row. She was known for being the neighborhood Avon Lady, her love of music and participation in choir, her unwavering faith, devotion to her family and friends, and her competitive nature when it came to a good game of Yahtzee, Dominoes, or Croquet. Olive is survived by her four children: Jan Elftmann (Dave Lewis), Sandra Elftmann, Daniel Elftmann (Chel), David Elftmann (Greta); her five step-children: Renee Huether (David), Skip Manton, Chuck Manton (Cari), Mimi Hines, Rob Manton (Ginger); her sister, Thelma Anderson; her 20 grandchildren and her 24 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her late husband Bob Manton, first husband Dennis Elftmann, brothers Claire and Paul Williamson, sister Ramona, parents Ethel & Leon Williamson, step-mother Ruby Williamson, mother-in-law Gail Elftmann, grandson Buddy Manton, and great-granddaughter Taelyn Huether. A private memorial will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday, November 7th, 2020. A separate memorial gathering, open to extended family and friends, will be held in Minneapolis spring of 2021. Condolences may be sent to Elftmann-Manton Family at 801 Washington Avenue North #117, Minneapolis, MN 55401.
