Chrysanne C. Turner

Turner, Chrysanne Carole age 81, of Eden Prairie, MN, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020, surrounded by the love and care of her family. Chrysanne was born September 9, 1938, in St. Cloud, MN. She was the first child of ten in the family of Elwin and Merlin Turner. Chrysanne grew up in St. Cloud, MN and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. She attended cosmetology school and obtained her license to practice. Chrysanne married George Orr in 1959 and had a large family of 6 children of her own. Chrysanne played many important roles in her life. Her most important roles were both as a mother and a provider. Not only was she busy raising her children but she developed a very successful custom drapery, upholstery, and design business named Creations by Chrysanne. Her business thrived for almost 50 years due to her creative work and exemplary craftsmanship. Her business had thousands of satisfied customers over many years. Family, faith, and gardens were her true passions. She had the strength to raise her family by playing the role of a single mother for many years. Her faith was simply her compass to navigate through life. Her gardens were her reward to herself. The garden's beauty was cultivated over decades and was a labor of love. Chrysanne enjoyed good conversation, good food, good wine, good coffee and a good cold beer from time to time. She is survived by her children: Brenda (Roger) Peters of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, Michael (Moreen) Orr of South Haven, MN, Patrick (Debbie) Orr of Pine, CO, Benita (John) Justen of Eden Prairie, MN, Shawn (Stephanie) Orr of Murrieta, CA; her grandchildren Madelynn Orr, Justin Wolff, Jessica Orr, David Ellingen, Angela Orr, Chase Orr, Mackenzie Orr; her great- grandchild Ava Edwards. Chrysanne was preceded in death by her son Timothy W. Orr, her parents and three sisters. A visitation is planned for Wednesday, September 9th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM, at Washburn McReavy Funeral Chapel in Eden Prairie, MN. A private mass is planned for Thursday, September 10th at Pax Christi Catholic Church, Eden Prairie, MN.
