Gross, Charles Edward age 87, of Excelsior Minnesota, with family at his side, passed away in peace and comfort on Friday, July 31, 2020. A husband, brother, father, avid outdoorsman and business owner, he lived an active and full life. He was the recipient of an LVAD heart pump which granted him an additional 7 years of family, friends and memories. Thank you so much to the U of M!! With this, he tackled each change with a brave spirit and positive strength. At the center of his life was his son, grandchildren, siblings and his beloved dog "Champ". He loved sailing, the cabin, hunting, fishing and watching the birds at his feeders. He was a kind and gracious man. Past resident of The Landings, Mound Mn, Ches-Mar Farm and Montrose Mn. A service member of the United States Air Force. A long time member of the South Shore Lions club. Proprietor of Gross Office Supply and Excelsior Bay Charters. He was born July 19, 1933 in Oakes, North Dakota. Was the oldest child of five to the late James and Dorothy Gross (Baird). Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Martha Gross Wagner. He is survived by son, David Gross (Wendy); Siblings, Richard Gross (Lynda), Liz Seipel (Jim) and Linda Murray; Grandchildren; Ethan, Emily and Lauren Gross. A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends will take place at Huber Funeral Home, Excelsior Minnesota, Wednesday the 26th of August, from 5 to 7pm.
