Castillejos, Carlo David (44), beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2020 while playing pickle ball at Washington Park in Richfield, MN. Carlo was born on June 11, 1976, son of Fe and Cesar Castillejos. He grew up in Fridley, MN and attended college at St. Olaf in Northfield, MN. Pickle ball was Carlo's newest passion and, man, was he good.

Carlo met his wife, Megan, in 2015 and they instantly fell deeply in love. They married soon after meeting and quickly started their beautiful family. They lived in Minneapolis, MN with their sons Quincy & Wilder.

Carlo had the best smile and warmed any room he entered. He had a quiet calm about him that made everyone feel comfortable. He loved big. He was humble and generous. He gave so much yet never asked for anything in return. The thoughtful gifts he gave made you feel seen, heard, and valued. Carlo was very creative and passionate about his many unique hobbies. When he found something that interested him, he was "all in", learning everything he could to master it. He loved spending time with his family and friends, capturing memories with photos and videos, and making everyone around him laugh with his quick wit. He was a true gift to anyone who had the honor of meeting him.

Carlo is survived by his wife, Megan (Tasler) Castillejos; his sons, Quincy and Wilder; his father and mother, Fe and Cesar Castillejos; his brother and sister, Cesar (Kate) Castillejos and Tina (Brian) Rexing; nieces & nephews; Luke, Owen, Caliah, Cora, & Cruz; innumerable friends and family members who he loved dearly.

To honor the beautiful life of Carlo, a memorial service for family and very close friends will be held at Hope Church, Richfield, MN on Saturday, August 15th at 4:00 pm. Social distancing and masks are mandatory. Space will be very limited, but all are welcome to join us online at Please be prompt as our time in the church is strictly limited to 1 hour.
