Berquist, Sharon Rae O'Berg age 90, passed away on July 20, 2020 surrounded by family at her home in Bloomington. Survived by son Steven Berquist (Kathleen); daughters Stephanie Tauer, Deborah McPartland (Michael) and Elizabeth Fantetti; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister Charlotte Lindseth Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lillian Lindseth, and her sister Mary Ann Watson. Sharon graduated from Excelsior High School (class of 1948) where her favorite activity was singing in the Triple Trio, a group of 9 young women who performed standards and contemporary choral works. She was a harmonic savant and singing was an enjoyment her entire life. After attending Mankato State College for 2 years, Sharon married and started her family, which she often referred to as her greatest pride and joy. As the children grew, she began to work part-time and eventually full-time at WP&RS Mars Company in Bloomington where she proudly used kindness and compassion to successfully work with clients to collect on delinquent accounts. Over the years she participated in bowling leagues at Aqua Bowl in Minnetonka, winning several trophies along the way. Favorite past-times included writing poetry, working on crossword puzzles, and family game nights. Sharon also had a passion for cooking which translated into watching cooking shows on TV, reading/collecting recipes, and preparing several family favorite traditional foods like melt-in-your-mouth caramels, calico beans, Thanksgiving stuffing, and strawberry pie. A short quote from one of Sharon's poems: It seems not long ago it was 1948 and we were all excited to graduate. I know I have aged, a gray-haired old dame But deep in my heart, I still feel the same. We will miss you Mom. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Sharon's name to Make a Wish Foundation mn.wish.org or 1919 University Ave W, #415, St Paul, MN 55104.
