Lindahl, James H. of Minneapolis, age 79, died peacefully on July 22, 2020, after a five week battle with pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Ford and Lois and brother Jack. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen, daughters Karen (Drew) Kriesel, Nancy (Dennis) Olson, son John and sister Jan (Bruce) Tinklenberg. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Carly, Nicole and Brooke Kriesel and Erica and Carter Olson, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was a kind, generous and funny man who loved the Lord, his family, his church, friends, his garden and all the neighbors he would visit with throughout the day in South Minneapolis. Jim graduated from Minnehaha Academy in 1958 and went to the University of North Dakota graduating in 1962. He joined the ROTC program at UND and was commissioned as a 1st Lt. Jim received his Master's degree in Hospital Administration from Baylor University. He served in the US Army for 22 years, retiring in 1984 as a Lt. Colonel. He went on to work as a Vice President at Park Nicollet for 5 years. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, we will be having a private family service for Jim at Crosstown Covenant Church in Minneapolis.
