Herman L. 'Herm' Hasselbring
Hasselbring, Herman "Herm" L. Age 91 of Surprise, AZ formerly Eden Prairie, MN. Passed away on July 20, 2020. Herm was born August 27, 1928 in Long Prairie, MN to Otto and Theresa (Gothman) Hasselbring. He was the oldest of 8 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Jane (the mother of his children), brothers Norb, Jerry, Jim, and sister Judy Hatch. After graduating from Long Prairie HS he entered the United States Army where he served until 1947. Upon returning from the military he spent some time at the University of Minnesota before beginning a career in distribution. He eventually owned and retired from Ace Supply Company. During retirement in Arizona his wife Jane passed away. Herm remained in Arizona, with frequent summer trips to Minnesota, and remarried. He will be remembered for his hard working life style, friendly and loving demeanor, and the care he showed to all he met. Herm is survived by wife Mary Jane, brother Russ(Sharyn), sisters Mary Ann Lewis and Norma Topic, sons Bruce(Mary) and Brent (Pamela), daughter Lori (George) Youngvorst, grandchildren Matt (Joanna) Hassel bring, John (Tracie) Hasselbring, Sarah (Will) Crigger, Kate (Ike) Hasselbring, Lisa Youngvorst, Tim (Chelsee) Hasselbring, Dustin Youngvorst, Alex Hasselbring, Raegan Hasselbring, and eight great-grandchildren. He was cremated and interred in a private ceremony on July 29. Memorials can be sent to the St. Louis Park Rotary Foundation at PO Box 26728 St. Louis Park, MN 55426 or donor's choice.
