Larson, Gerald Paul "Jerry" age 76, beloved husband, father, grandpa passed away peacefully at home on July 15th from pancreatic cancer. Jerry graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1961 and the University of Minnesota, where he met the love of his life, Susan. They married in 1964 and together enjoyed traveling the world, skiing, biking, sailing, playing golf, tennis, taking long car rides, and raising their two children. Jerry's love was his family, especially watching his children's and grandchildren's many sporting events. He was what many have called a "Super Fan." Jerry ran his own contracting business and prided himself on the strong relationships with his customers. These relationships were important to him and were what kept him working even after his diagnosis. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Avis Larson, and sister, Linda Larson. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan, son Erik (Amy), daughter Britt (Mike), grandchildren Carter and Caroline, several in-laws, nieces and nephews, and many dear and loyal friends. Jerry was known for his big heart. He loved meeting new people and visiting with anyone and everyone. In his memory, we encourage you to go out and make a new friend, chat with your neighbors, help someone out, give someone a chance, and brag about your family. These were the things he loved to do the most. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Church of Christ the King in Minneapolis. Jerry's final resting place will be Resurrection Cemetery in Shorewood, MN. A celebration honoring Jerry's life will take place as soon as it is safe to do so.
