Shuster, John Harold "Jack" age 81 formerly of Andover, Minnesota went to be with his loving wife Dawn of 45 years and their daughter, Kimberly on Monday, July 6, 2020. Although he had spent the last year and a half living in Texas, he remained a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan and never missed a chance to watch NASCAR. He was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on February 16, 1939 and was the youngest son of Harold and Elinor Shuster. He graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in 1957 and was proud of the fact he helped choose the new school's colors and mascot which remain to this day. He truly exemplified the expression, "Jack of all trades" throughout his hard working life. He was a race car driver, switchman, mechanic, salesman, business owner (Jacks OK Tires), and entrepreneur. His passion of driving served him well as he proudly drove his new Peterbilt truck he named "Blue December" over every road in the United States before retiring in 2002. He and Dawn were foster parents for Anoka County to over 150 girls and shared with them their love, home, and faith. Many still call them dad and mom to this day. Jack will be remembered as someone who loved to tell a story, loved his family and cared for anyone that needed a helping hand. His memory will be cherished by his long-time companion and love, Pat Lundberg along with his girls, Denise (Scott) Kimmel, Kelly Shuster, Stacy Shuster and Jeanelle Shuster; his 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Patty (Dave) Robertson; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The Shuster girls plan on hosting a celebration of his life early this fall in his hometown of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota where he will be buried with his wife Dawn and their beloved dog, Paco. In lieu of flowers, please make a tribute donation on his behalf to the Alzheimer's Association.
