Conkey, Audrey Mae (Robinson) age 92, of Bloomington, died peacefully July 6, 2020, at St. Therese Home of New Hope. Audrey ("Audge") was born in St. Cloud, MN, June 26, 1928, to Katherine (Kulas) and Charles Robinson, the third of four daughters. A graduate of Cathedral H.S., she attended St. Benedict's College before moving to work in St. Paul. On July 17, 1954 she married the love of her life, George Warren Conkey, who she met at an Arthur Murray St. Patrick's Day dance. As the story goes, she kicked him in the shin during the bunny-hop and it was love at first contusion. That love proved infallible. A devout Catholic, Audge's greatest joys were being a wife, mom and grandma. She also enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes, vacationing yearly in Duluth, and treasure finding. Survived by her son, Rick (Hallee) of Edina; daughter, Mary (Curt) Crippen of Chanhassen; three grandchildren, Daniel, Delaney and Henry; her sister, Kathy Robinson Archer of Houston, TX; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George; sisters, Avis Robinson Hartley and Anne Josephine Robinson. Mom was the most selfless person we will ever know, rivaled only by Dad. And every dollar, from everything she chose to do without, found its way to us in the form of athletics fees, dance and music lessons, scouting dues, skates, skis, bikes and the like. She didn't need, never wanted, and always believed she had more than 'enough'. Thank you for your love, because of you we will always have more than enough. We love you. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 17, at 9:00 AM. We welcome all to join the service via Zoom livestream.
