Klein, Charlotte Rose April 7, 1930 March 24, 2020. Longtime resident of St. Louis Park. Preceded in death by parents, Leo and Pearl Reifel; husband, Julie Klein; sisters, Winky Herman and Lila Clarren-Grossman. She leaves behind children, Wendy, Michael, Lori, Howard (Sheryl), and Shari Klein; grandchildren, Jenni, Jill, Josia, Leland, Molly, Julia, Sophia; great-grandchild, Zac; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. Charlotte went to school for nursing, but family came first and they benefited from her training. Her family was her life and joy, and she was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the perfect hostess and a selfless caregiver. Charlotte was a wonderful cook: there was always food, and a lot of it. Her home and hospitality were legendary among the friends of her children. She was a pillar of any community she joined, and was always paying it forward. She was active at Temple Israel, where she served as President. As an avid knitter, she organized the Senior Knit & Chat, through which she made and distributed hundreds of hats. She loved her neighbors at Ridgepointe and would have moved there earlier had she known it would be so much fun. Charlotte was a force in this world and her spirit will always stay with us. Private family burial. Video will be available on March 26th at 5:00pm on the Hodroff-Epstein Memorial website. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Contributions to Cantor Barry Abelson at Temple Israel (2323 Fremont Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55405) to provide music programming for seniors. Hodroff-Epstein 612-871-1234 hodroffepstein.com
