Nealy, Dr. Timothy Eugene, M.D. March 26th, 1940 March 22nd, 2020 Passed away peacefully on Sunday morning at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Dr. Nealy is survived by his loving wife Mary (Gens); six children; Rick, Mike, Stephanie, Sarah, Paul, & Peter; a brother David and sister Peggy; and nine grandchildren Andrew, Regan, Simon, Indira, Owen, Henry, Grace, Vivian, and Eva. Born in Adrian, Minnesota to Dr. Donald and Ellen Nealy, Dr. Nealy graduated from Adrian Catholic School in 1958 and completed undergraduate school and medical school at the U of MN. He played alto saxophone in the U of MN Marching Band, highlighted by a trip to the Rose Bowl in 1961. He completed his residency at St Luke's hospital in Duluth, MN. Throughout his career, Dr. Nealy practiced family medicine all over southern MN, including Blooming Prairie, Faribault, New Ulm, Adrian, Ivanhoe, Minneota, Benson, and Flandreau, SD. He was particularly compassionate about care for the poor as well as protecting the rights of the elderly and the unborn. Dr. Tim was an avid golfer and a die-hard Gopher fan. He enjoyed vacations at Breezy Point resort each summer and fall. He was involved in the communities and churches wherever he lived. A celebration of Tim's life is TBD due to the Covid-19 crisis.
