Scherping, Clarence Leo of Apple Valley, MN passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the age of 86. He was born July 9, 1933, in New Munich, MN. Oldest son of Joseph and Veronica Scherping. Preceded in death by brother Albin and son Michael. Survived by wife of 63 years, Erna (Weidner), twin brother Edwin and sister Yvonne Johnson, sons Roger, Gary, Dennis, Dave and Rick, daughters Nancy Konkel and Ann Morris, thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Clarence was a well-respected high school math teacher in Foley, MN. He later taught computers at the local community college in Aurora, IL, where he worked as a data processing manager. In his retirement he tutored students in math in Apple Valley. Funeral service at 11 am Thursday, March 19, Risen Savior Church, 1501 County Rd 42 E, Burnsville, MN 55306 with visitation at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to District 196 Foundation, which eliminates barriers to learning in the Apple Valley school district 651-423-7722 district196foundation.org
