Dorothy (Calvin) Lawson
Lawson, Dorothy Calvin Peacefully past in her sleep at her home at the age of 99. She was a WWII veteran (Women Army Corps). Dorothy was a beloved mother of Darlene Lawson Wojcik (Michael) and Sandra Lawson; grandmother of LaShawnda; great grandmother of Talaya Lawson Shoals and James Anthony Lawson; great great grandmother of Skylar (James, Alyssa); sister-in-law of Robert Jamison, Sr.; aunt of Patricia Calvin Scott (Eldridge), Sharon Calvin Smith (Vernon), Valerie Calvin Carter (Larry), Larry Calvin (Phyllis), Eric Calvin (Michelle), Terry Calvin (Gina), Robert Jamison, Jr. (Fayetta) and Bruce Jamison, Sr.; special daughter, Terri Lee; granddaughter, LaShawnda Lee (Juno). Preceded in death by her loving husband, James Lawson, Sr.; son, James Lawson, Jr. and Anthony Lawson; parents, Joseph and Ada Calvin; sister, Althea Calvin Jamison; brothers, Joseph (Gladys), Murray, Charles and Larry Calvin. Special thank you to Fr. Jim Cassidy and St. Joan of Arc Church. Appreciation and gratitude to Amada Senior Care, Crystal and Lisa; and especially to Travis, whose dedication was outstanding. Dorothy Calvin Lawson was an honorary member of Red Hats, American Legion Auxillary and Sabathani Senior Center, The Parish of St. Joan Catholic Church invites you to attend the Memorial Services on Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at 1:30 pm with Fr. Jim Cassidy officiating and Deacon Larry Calvin of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, New Orleans, LA. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of MN. Private interment. Family and friends are invited to the repass 12 noon at church.
