Emil L. 'Roy' Dika
Dika, Emil "Roy" L. From Mound passed away on January 22, 2020. He was born in Detroit, MI on Oct. 11, 1957. He is survived by siblings Alan (Cynthia Rutherford) Dika, Susan Dika, Karen (Robert) Bowne and James (Mary Ann) Dika, 6 nieces/nephews, 3 great nieces/nephews, several cousins, many loving friends and his best buddy Brian, his golden retriever. Roy was a software engineer, retired after a long career at MTS Systems Corp in Eden Prairie. He enjoyed boating on Lake Minnetonka, summer vacations in Northern Michigan, sailing on the Great Lakes, alpine ski trips to Colorado, Utah, Montana, and Canada. He basked in warm weather escapes to Hawaii, Mexico and Aruba. He loved the Science Museum, fireworks festivals, backyard campfires, potlucks and many other activities with friends and neighbors. He was a generous and compassionate man who touched all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. The family will not do a service at this time. Memorials may be sent to Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley.
