Hreha, David J. "Pop" Age 81 of Brooklyn Center, passed away on Jan. 24, 2020. Graduated from DeLasalle High School in 1956. Served honorably in the US Marine Corps from 1957-1960. Traveled to Puerto Rico as an apprentice teacher where he met his beloved wife, Margarita Gonzalez. He served as a Hennepin County Deputy Sheriff from 1967-1993 and was active as a licensed Federal Interpreter from his retirement until a month before his death. He was big-hearted and a Good Samaritan his entire life. He'll be remembered for his humor, humility, and loyalty to his family & friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Beulah & Frank Hreha. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Margarita; children, Mary (Brent) Hreha Johnson, David (Terri Sabby), Daniel (Kristi), Nancy (Ryan) Mayer; grandchildren, Daniel, Alexa, Ariana, Andrew, Alex, Scarlett, Kingston, Channing; brother, Paul (Janice); and an enormous loving family in Puerto Rico. Funeral Service 11AM Friday, Jan. 31st, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment at Ft.
