Freese, Winifred A. (nee Hollyer) 92 of San Jose California, formally of Plymouth Minnesota and Detroit Michigan. A kind, dignified, modest and accomplished woman. Blinded by glaucoma in her 60's she maintained an upbeat view of life and steadfastly maintained her independence. Preceded in death by husband Claude (1924-1989), parents and five siblings. Survived by son Richard (Sara) of Forest Lake, three other children, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all the focus of her life. Also survived by special extended family Ruth Freese Bragstad. Private family celebration in Minnesota this summer and three other states. Memorials to LightHouse for the Blind, San Francisco California.
