Gall, Matthew Taylor, M.D. 49, devoted husband, father, son, brother, colleague, "fun guy," and dear friend, died on November 28, 2019. Matthew was born on July 9, 1970, in Beaver Dam, WI, to parents Bruce and Elaine Gall. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Betsy Gall, his wonderful children Grady, Gavin and Sophie, his parents Bruce and Elaine Gall, his brother Christian (Diane) and Andrew Gall, his in-laws Michael and Gail Lewis, Ryan (Kristin), Caden and Greyson Lewis, Bo (Melissa) Emmy Lou and TJ Lewis, and an abundance of friends and patients. Matthew was a successful and caring physician for 16 years at Minnesota Oncology. He dedicated his life to his patients and treating their cancer. He felt honored to help those in need. He loved each and every one of his patients. Matthew possessed a remarkable joie de vivre, the joy for life. He was a considerate man who loved his family deeply and was a fiercely loyal friend to many. He loved celebrating holidays with his family and enjoyed live music. He loved God. He was a patriot who deeply loved America. He had an unbridled enthusiasm for his Pittsburgh Steelers and Wisconsin Badgers. He loved playing rugby, perfecting his grilling skills, mountain biking, spending time at his beloved cabin and traveling the world while always managing to maintain the perfect lawn. Matthew had a knack for setting the perfect mood with music. He was happiest when he was spending time with friends, family and his dog, Liberty. He made every room brighter with his spirit and joie de vivre, joy for life, and will be forever missed. A celebration service will be held for Matthew on Thursday, December 12 at Colonial Church of Edina, 6200 Colonial Way, Edina MN at 11:30 a.m. Memorials preferred to Angel Foundation, UW Men's Rugby Club or Lone Survivor Organization.
