Our dearly loved Harry, age 90, passed away July 17, 2019. Preceded in death by parents, Gladys and Max Markley, and sister Mary Lou Field. Harry was a biochemist with a Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota and a Korean War Veteran. He started Markley Laboratories with his father Max and worked there until retiring at the age of 77.

Music was a huge part of Harry's life. He played the piano, violin and viola. For 50 years he played violin with the St. Paul Civic Symphony. He also played Chamber music weekly with a string quartet. Harry was the family historian and a proud member of the Mayflower Society.

His love of music, dancing and books is shared by his whole family. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Marie (Tei-Tei); sister Geraldine Drewry; daughter Anniken (Rick) Fuller; son Harald (Andrea) Markley; grandchildren, Neva and Alex Fuller, Maddie, Kate and Joey Markley; many other relatives and friends. 

A Celebration of Life and Music will be held Tuesday, July 30 from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. A short program is to start at 3 pm. Location: Cremation Society Edina, 7110 France Ave. S., 952-924-4100. Memorials preferred to the St. Paul Civic Symphony.
