Sandra Henrietta Beck

Beck, Sandra Henrietta Passed away Jan 27, 2019 at age 101 at Edgewood Assisted Living in Blaine, MN. Sandra was born Dec. 29, 1917 in Menahga, MN to Henry and Anna Hepokoski. She moved to Detroit, MI at the age of 21, after graduating from high school in Menahga, MN. In 1940, she was united in marriage to Edwin Beck. Their union was blessed with 2 children, Katherine and Charles. After living in Detroit for 24 years, in 1963, Sandra moved back to Minnesota. She was employed with Lutheran Brotherhood (Thrivent) in the office for 18 years. She lived in her own home in Brooklyn Center for 50 years until she was 99 years old. She was preceded in death by husband Edwin; brothers Oscar, Raphael and Victor. She is survived by children Katherine (Duane) Martin, Charles (Rachel) Beck; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and believers in Christ. Visitaton 6-8PM Thursday, Jan 31, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center. Funeral Service 12PM Friday, Feb 1, at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church, 14000 129th Ave N., Dayton, MN 55327, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church.
