Summers, Reuel "Bud" & Evelyn "Jeanne" Reuel "Bud" Summers, age 91, of Columbia Heights passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20th, 2018. Evelyn "Jeanne" Summers (Zink), age 89 of Columbia Heights followed her husband into rest on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. They will be deeply missed by their children, Nancy (Ken) Houser and Steve (Sharon) Summers; grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Summers, Risa (Mike) Moriarty, Allison and Kara Houser; and great-grandchildren, Michael Moriarty, and Sophia, Joey, & Nico Summers. Bud was born to Reuel and Edna in Holdrege, Nebraska on August 27, 1926; and was the oldest of ten children. He was a diehard Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan and an avid golfer. He was dedicated to his duties at the Zuhrah Shrine and proudly marched in the Drum and Bugle Corp. Roscoe and Mamie welcomed Evelyn into this world on August 11, 1928 in Davey, NE. She and Reuel met walking home from school when they were young, and after marriage vacationed in Minnesota and never left. Evelyn loved tending to her flowers in the yard and caring for her beloved pets. Service details at a later date. Miller Funeral Home 763-571-1300
