Betty Lou Lundeen
Lundeen, Betty Lou age 79, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2017. Retired United Methodist clergy and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devoted friend to many in her groups and organizations in Minnesota and their Arizona retirement community. Betty was a lifelong advocate of educating young children, empowering women, and inclusivity for all. Preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Wilfred and Anne Plummer, and sister, Shirley. Survived by her husband of 58 years, C. Darwin; sons Todd (Cindy), Brett (Kathleen), and Kirk (Kari); and grandchildren Bethany (Cengizhan) Ozuturk, Sarah Lundeen, John (Kim) Lundeen, Ashley Lundeen, Nicole Lundeen, Sophia Lundeen, and Christopher Lundeen. A celebration of Betty's life will be held on Saturday, January 6th at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, Minneapolis, with a service at 10:30am preceded by a visitation an hour before and followed by a memorial reception. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Dignity Center at Hennepin Avenue UMC or The Re-Imagining Community.
