Nowitzki hit a three-pointer with 2:15 to play to put the Mavericks up 79-72 after the teams had traded the lead most of the fourth quarter. Jimmy Butler missed two three-pointers in the final 12 seconds.

Butler was limited to four points on 2-for-11 shooting from the field, one night after scoring a career-high 53 in a victory at Philadelphia.
