Sooo, tell me about yourself ...

These are words a woman might not hear on a first date with Visanthe Shiancoe.

In a June Sister 2 Sister magazine article with the headline "Date Night with Visanthe Shiancoe," the Vikings tight end gave a glimpse into how he likes to "wine and dine his lady in Minneapolis." That phrase, from the introduction to the Q&A, might leave the impression that there is ONE lady, but this sentence sounds like he's advertising: "Visanthe likes a genuine woman who has class and integrity, and although he likes to talk, he said he's good at reading people."

Which takes us to the most giggle-worthy part of Sabrina M. Parker's Q&A with Shank. She asked: "Are you a talker or a listener?"

We all know the answer to this.

"I'm more of a talker than a listener," said Shank. "I can talk about anything. I'll give you layers upon layers about what I think." Shrek, anyone?

Reading about his "layered" thoughts brought to mind an opera-singing Viking warming up: Mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi.

There's a chance only one woman is enduring Shank's verbosity, as sources claim Shiancoe has a steady. My attempt to get Shank to claim her was one of four messages I sent him via Twitter that he ignored.

No matter, as he layered many other thoughts on Sister 2 Sister.

Such as his gentlemanly preference to pick up a date at her residence, even though "I understand a woman not being comfortable with somebody knowing where she lives."

And if you're fortunate enough to get picked up by Shank, do not answer the door leading with your lips.

"I wouldn't want someone who wants to kiss off the jump," Shiancoe told S2S. You may simply greet him and say goodbye that first time with a hug, because "I'm not your typical guy; I don't get wide-eyed over every opportunity."

Good to know, as is this: Don't expect to hear about his family or his sexual past on a first date.

"I'm not going to discuss family members and private issues like sexual partners. Just in case it doesn't work out," he told S2S. (Dating experts whose opinions I respect say Shanks is dead right about not discussing sex on a first date.)

Were he a stereotypical professional athlete, you wouldn't want to know the numbers anyway. You'd eventually want him to get a clean bill of STD health from the doc and promise to keep your relationship exclusive until announcing the time you're not!

Shank told the magazine he'd be dressed in something "very tasteful -- so classy it's flashy." So, ladies, don't forget your dark glasses because there may be a glare.

And Shank's date should hope he doesn't layer on that sexy gaze. Our boy is striking a GQ pose (see big watch) and seriously flashing those bedroom peepers in the photo William Cenac provided S2S.

Shiancoe grew up in Maryland, but he told the mag that "Minneapolis is one of the greatest cities, believe it or not -- and that's for the grown, sexy and mature [like himself?] who are established." And, he added, "There are a lot of good restaurants and venues with atmospheres that are sexy."

Shiancoe likes a date at a restaurant with a live band, where the two of you are "off in the corner at a table, the lights are dim. That's a good time to me. Just to chill, relax and be yourself. Be yourself -- that's what I love, and that's what I respect."

And remember: Quiet, because Shank's handling the conversation.

Generous A.P.Another Viking picked up dinner for a group of people in line with him at Las Vegas' Bistro Buffet in the Palms Casino.

According to TMZ, a couple noticed a certain Vikings running back in line and asked if he was Adrian Peterson.

"All day," he replied.

He then asked the couple and about a dozen others in line if they wanted to join him for dinner. And he picked up the $400 tab.

K&K prognosticationsAfter a quick read of People magazine's cover story on the Kardashian-Humphries nuptials, I have two predictions!

No. 1: Kim Kardashian is going to make an honest philanthropist out of Kris Humphries, who already fancies himself a very benevolent fellow. And I'm not talking about that 20.5-carat engagement ring, which most TMZ staffers derided as absolutely "ridiculous."

No. 2: Kim will go for a Monique Lhuillier wedding gown, mainly because she has shops in Beverly Hills and -- I assume Kim knows this -- Edina.
