on the list

Calling all b-boys and b-girls The Twin Cities' largest break-dancing competition returns this weekend in St. Paul. Called Falling With Style 4, it brings together more than 25 crews for a tournament-style battle held over two days. Hailing from the Midwest and beyond, the teams of five to seven dancers will compete for a winner-takes-all prize of $5,000. There are singles battles, too, such as a king of the hill-style competition and specialty battles focusing on isolated moves (footwork, power moves, etc.). Some might be surprised by the location of the battle. It isn't a hip-hop club or even a music venue. It's a church -- the Central Mission in St. Paul's Midway area. "They have a really nice hardwood floor," organizer Jon Best said. (4 p.m. doors/6 p.m. start, today and Sat. 1632 Charles Av., St. Paul. $15 a day. All ages. thepromisedland.us.)

The Lounge turns 13 Making it four years in today's club scene seems like a great feat. Now try 13 years. The Lounge celebrates just that tonight. (411 2nd Av. N., Mpls. $5. 21 and older. 612-333-8800. theloungempls.com)

Walking and talking Comedian Jennie McNulty stops walking this weekend for a stand-up gig at Pi in south Minneapolis. Known for her out-of-the-box ideas, she currently hosts an online talk show called "Walking Funny With," where she literally walks around town with her guests (see it on AfterEllen.com). While it's more interesting than funny, her stand-up, which was recently featured in a comedy special called "One Night Stand Up" on the LOGO TV channel, is a hoot. (8:30 p.m. today. 2532 25th Av. S., Mpls. $10. 612-877-4368. pibarandrestaurant.com.
