Brit's: A bloody good time! Forget lawn bowling, Brit's Pub is planning something a little more brutal this Sunday with lawn boxing. In association with the Uppercut Gym, the downtown Minneapolis bar will erect a full ring on the rooftop lawn. Ten amateur bouts are scheduled (one features a Brit's manager). Admission is free but they are asking a $5 donation toward the Minneapolis Tornado Victims fund. There will be no chairs on the lawn, so bring a blanket.

Time to thrash, invisibly Ever since the World Air Sex Championships came to town, the thought of the U.S. Air Guitar Championship seems a lot less ridiculous. Nonetheless, here it is once again. This touring air-guitar competition, held at the Cabooze, invites rock nerds to the stage to show off their skills on the invisible ax. The Minneapolis winner will go to the national championships July 23 in Chicago. That winner will be flown to Finland for a shot at the world title.

Bark if you like sushi Tiger Sushi 2 in Lyn-Lake is getting back in the dog-party game with its second Sushi With Your Poochie (June 21-22). Held on the patio, the on-leash events are organized with Sidewalk Dog, with part of the proceeds going to the anti-abuse advocates at Animal Folks MN. The Tiger Sushi chefs will be making dog-friendly sushi, and the bar will offer drink and food specials for you humans. If that's not enough, there will be a paw reader on hand to predict Fido's future. These parties sell out, so get your tickets in advance.

  • 5:30-8:30 p.m. June 21 and 22. 2841 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls. $15 advance/$18 at the door. www.sidewalkdog.com.

The "winners" have all been Turkeys, no matter the honor's name.

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
