The Walker does it again with another great hip-hop event, this one starring Marc Bamuthi Joseph, an innovator in the hip-hop theater movement. His show, "the break/s," opened Thursday night, but there are two more performances this weekend. The Bay Area-based Joseph is a slam poetry champion, dance choreographer and actor. In "the break/s" he uses his talents (and the help of a beat boxer and DJ) to weave together a personal story about hip-hop's rise from street art to a global force. (8 p.m. today and Sat. 1750 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. $22. 612-375-7622. www.walkerart.org)

Craving Kardashian

Yet another reality-TV star will be partying in Minneapolis this weekend. Kim Kardashian, of Ray J sex tape fame and E!'s "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," will host Aqua's one-year-anniversary party. (10 p.m. Sat. 400 1st Av. N., Mpls. $15. 21 and older. 612-232-3232. www.aquampls.com)

The dynamic duo

It's been six years since trance/house kings Sasha & John Digweed toured the United States for their Delta Heavy extravaganza, which many fans say was one for the ages. Now the DJs, both from the United Kingdom, are together for another U.S. tour that brings them to Epic (10 p.m. Tue. 110 5th St. N., Mpls. $25. 18 and older. 612-332-3742. www.epicmpls.com)
