Gaborik's SO goal gives Kings 6th win in a row
PITTSBURGH – Marion Gaborik's shootout goal lifted Los Angeles to a 3-2 victory over the Penguins on Friday night for the Kings' sixth consecutive win.
Jake Muzzin and Tanner Pearson had Los Angeles' goals in regulation, and Jonathan Quick stopped 40 shots through overtime. The Pacific Division-leading Kings have a point in eight straight games (6-0-2).
Eric Fehr and Evgeni Malkin scored for the Penguins, who were 5-2-1 in their past eight home games. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 38 shots.
•DEVILS WIN IN OT: Kyle Palmieri scored in overtime to give New Jersey a 3-2 victory over Detroit in Newark. The Red Wings extended their point streak to 13 games (8-0-5) since last losing in regulation on Nov. 14.
